Teacher Training Opportunities via BCHS
We currently work with several highly regarded teacher training programmes to ensure that BCHS is a fantastic place to learn your trade. Many of the teachers who have trained here have stayed to become permanent members of staff. Each of the training providers we work with has their own characteristics:
- Mid-Essex Initial Teacher Training (MEITT) has been training secondary school teachers for 25 years. They are located in Braintree and offer school-based training in 16 different subjects. To find out more, visit https://www.midessexteachertraining.com/
- The School Direct Programme, backed by the TES Institute, is located at our partner school: St Clere’s. The school-based programme trains primary and secondary teachers across a group of local schools. To find out more, visit http://www.st-cleres.thurrock.sch.uk/198/teacher-training
- The University of Greenwich provide university-based teacher training, for which we provide placements for trainees on their postgraduate PGCE programmes. To find out more, visit https://www.gre.ac.uk/subjects/teacher-education
