School Catering
There are two canteen areas available at Brentwood County High School. Our students remain on the school premises during break time and lunch time. At break time, students are able to purchase a variety of items such as breakfast cereal, muffins and bacon/sausage rolls. There are a wide range of choices that they can have at lunch time including:
- Sandwiches, wraps and baguettes
- Pasta pots (hot or cold)
- A variety of hot meals with a different offering each day.
We also provide halal, vegan and vegetarian options.
However, if they prefer they can bring a packed lunch from home.
We operate a cashless system at Brentwood County High School where parents preload money onto their child’s account. Students then use their finger print to purchase food.
Please do ensure that if your child is having a meal each day, that you check their account regularly to make sure it is topped up with funds.

If you receive benefits, you may be eligible for free school meals via Essex County Council.
